General information
The 2010 edition of the Montréal summer school in public health is jointly offered by the Département de médecine sociale et préventive de l'Université de Montréal, the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health at McGill University, and the Direction de santé publique de Montréal with the special participation of the Faculté de médecine vétérinaire de l'Université de Montréal and the Grande Bibliothèque de Montréal. The three seminars will bring experts in epidemiology, sociology, anthropology, communications and crisis management, to look at a communicable risk such as Influenza, from its animal reservoir (zoonosis) to a full blown epidemic in humans. The seminars will focus on practical experience through workshops and simulation exercises. The exceptional collaboration of the Grande Bibliothèque de Montréal will provide participants with the opportunity to test their ability to communicate with a real public.
